Mission Beach is located an easy 1.5hrs drive from Cairns or 2.5hrs north of Townsvile.

If you are looking for activities there are some excellent walking tracks in this region.  From The Elandra it is also possible to do a Sky Dive, spend a day White Water Rafting on the famous Tully River or a day Snorkelling or Diving on the Great Barrier Reef.  It is also possible to spend a day exploring Dunk Island.
