HINCHINBROOK ISLAND

If you can picture yourself camping on uninhabited tropical islands, under a canopy of stars, exploring and enjoying the natural beauty of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and the lush tropical rainforest islands read on...

Spend 5 days with Coral Sea Kayaking paddling the coast of Hinchinbrook Island and camping on the white sandy beaches is a true taste of paradise. This uninhabited island offers stunning views and deserted beaches.

The 5 day trip takes you away from all the pressures of today's lifestyle and let you relax and enjoy nature at its best. As you paddle the coastline the breathtaking beauty of this Hinchinbrook Island will be revealed, the lush temperate rainforest gives way to towering granite peaks, and below are countless sheltered sandy bays.

3 - 4 hours paddling each day and one rest day allows plenty of time to explore Zoe Bay, swim in crystal clear fresh water pools, relax and enjoy the pristine environment.

Evenings are spent camping under the stars, enjoying some local tales from our experienced guides and a glass or two of wine over a sumptuous dinner.

Hinchinbrook Island is part of the UNESCO, World Heritage Listing for it's unique flora and fauna. The waters of the Coral Sea which surround Hinchinbrook Island are part of the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park, world renowned for it's abundant marine life offering us a chance to view turtles, dolphins and hopefully dugong.

The islands offer excellent conditions to view many sea birds including, osprey, sea eagles and Oystercatchers. Our five day trip finishes after we visit scenic Gould Island just north of Hinchinbrook with a paddle across the bay to the coast.   Whilst our 7 day trip explores further north to the Idyllic Family Islands where we can snorkel over fringing reef before ending our trip before ending the trip in Mission Beach.

Trips depart Mission Beach on Sundays, pre trip meetings Saturday evening prior to departure.

The experienced sea kayak guides are fully trained and their knowledge, care and attention will ensure you have an exciting and memorable trip.
