Cyclone Larry

Cyclone Larry 2006:
Unfortunately in March 2006 Cyclone Larry crossed the coast at Innisfail, just 100 kilometres south of Cairns.
Cyclone Larry was a category 4 storm and caused substantial damage to flora, fauna, crops, Innisfail town and the surrounding region. Winds ranged from 180 - 230 kph and water
Cairns City had limited structural damage with flooding in some areas, fallen trees & power lines being the major concerns.
Cyclone Larry is considered to be the worst cyclone to hit the coast of Queensland since 1931.
